How do Game Pass discounts on game purchases work?

Xbox Game Pass members can save up to 20% on Xbox One games purchased from the existing catalog, as well as up to 10% off related game add-ons and consumables.

Discounts are based on the Microsoft Store price and on the game’s global launch date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to a 20% discount. For game add-ons and consumables, Xbox Game Pass members receive up to a 10% discount from the day the add-on is released.

Will game add-ons I’ve installed get deleted when they leave Game Pass?

Your space is your space. Games and DLC will not be deleted from your hard drive until you want them gone, even if they’ve rolled out of the Xbox Game Pass catalog.

If you buy DLC for a game and that game leaves the Xbox Game Pass catalog, your rights to the DLC will be unaffected. To keep playing the DLC, you need to buy the game itself from the Microsoft Store or on disc. As long as you were signed in to Xbox Live the last time you played, your achievements, game saves, and game progress will all be there. Resume playing right where you left off.

Games in the Game Pass collection can be purchased at a reduced cost, so if this is a game you will want to play keep playing you will want to purchase before it leaves the collection. Stay on top of what is in the Leaving soon section in the Game Pass mobile app or on the Xbox One console by scrolling from Home to the Game Pass tab and scrolling down to the Leaving soon section. If you see a title you are playing in that section, you may want to buy this title at the reduced price before it leaves the collection.

Why isn’t my game downloading when I install from the Game Pass mobile app?

If you’re having trouble downloading and installing your Xbox Game Pass games to your Xbox One console from the Game Pass mobile app, make sure you’ve enabled remote installation on your Xbox One, you’ve set it as your home Xbox, it"s in instant-on mode, and is connected to the internet.
